The Identity Crisis of the Social Vehicle

In the world of ubiquitous connectivity, people are showing privacy concerns at every turn: while few seem to be unwilling to embrace the social network mania, they are constantly trying to cover their on-line tracks. How will this scenario translate to a world of connected vehicles? Safety and cooperative awareness applications need trust, and trust and privacy can be at odds with each other. In this talk, we will explore the different scenarios affecting the privacy of drivers and passengers of connected vehicles, bridging the gap between standards, literature and common sense.
